The hikes take the participants through two of the most beautiful natural areas in North Limburg: the Jaomerdal and the Steilrand.
The Jaomerdal was created by the excavation of clay for the tile industry in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is now a very varied area where kingfishers breed, among other things. The Steilrand is the edge of the Maasdal, where the landscape suddenly rises 10-20 meters. The Steilrand also partly coincides with the border with Germany. The area is largely forested. The Pieterpad partly follows the same route.
The hike starts and ends at Scopias Atletiek at Sportpark Vrijenbroek. Parking is available at Fontys.
