The Berden Hike takes you through the beautiful nature of the Jammerdaal and the Steilrand. Jammerdaal (in the Venloos dialect: Jaomerda(a)l, known for its rolling hills and dense forests, offers a serene environment where nature shows its purest form.

The Berden Hike offers three carefully marked routes of 7.5 km, 16 km and 25 km, which lead hikers through some of the most beautiful natural areas in North Limburg. The tours lead through the Jaomerdal and the Steilrand, areas known for their varied flora and fauna. The Jaomerdal, created by clay excavations for the tile industry in the 18th and 19th centuries, is now a diverse nature reserve where kingfishers breed, among other things.
The Steilrand forms the transition from the Maasdal, where the landscape rises abruptly by 10 to 20 meters. This largely forested area partly coincides with the border with Germany and is crossed by the famous Pieterpad. Hikers can enjoy the serene forests and the rich cultural heritage that this region has to offer.
