Regulations
These regulations are a translation of the Dutch competition regulation. In the case of inconsistencies, the Dutch version is leading.
The event regulations of the Berden Hike contain all the important rules and conditions that participants must adhere to. These regulations are designed to ensure the safety, clarity, and fairness of the event. By participating in the Berden Hike, participants agree to these terms and conditions. Please read the following regulations carefully to be well prepared for participation.
1. Use of image Participants agree to the use of their image in print, photo, film, video, and other media for promotional purposes of the Berden Hike. No rights to compensation can be derived from this.
2. Participation at your own risk Participation in the Berden Hike is entirely at your own risk and responsibility.
3. Liability in case of cancellation The organization cannot be held responsible for personal costs incurred if the event is cancelled due to force majeure.
If the Berden Hike is cancelled at a late stage due to force majeure, no registration fees will be refunded. In case of such cancellation, no new date will be set; the next edition will take place a year later.
4. Registration fee The registration fee must be received by Scopias Atletiek no later than two days before the date of the event.
5. Resale, transfer, and changes
- Resale of entry tickets: Reselling entry tickets is not allowed.
- Transfer of entry tickets: Transferring an entry ticket is allowed. This must be arranged directly between the original and new participant. The original registration will not be modified.
- Changing distance: Changing the chosen distance is possible, possibly with additional payment. The deadline for changes is stated on the website.
- Cancelling registration: It is possible to cancel a registration. In that case, no refund of the registration fee will be given.
6. Time limit and safety There is no time limit for the Berden Hike. However, the organization reserves the right to remove participants from the route if traffic safety is compromised.
7. Liability for personal belongings Scopias Atletiek is not liable in any way for the loss of clothing or other personal belongings.
